Make Money Online Mindset Hack

Talk to any successful affiliate marketer and you will hear the same thing.  A lot of their success comes down to mindset.  You have to work on your mindset and have the right kind of thoughts and attitudes running through your mind in order to be successful.

This is the number one thing that holds people back from making money online.  It’s a secret that not a lot of people know about and I’m going to help you understand it so that you can get past the hurdle and finally start making money with your online business.

You see, being successful on the Internet whether it’s with affiliate marketing or some other type of online business often has nothing to do with what you know or the things you can do rather it has to do with you and what’s going on inside your head.

It’s Not That Big of a Deal

It all comes down to the idea that ‘it’s not that big of a deal’.  Now what do I mean by that?  You see in life and in business we have this idea that something big is happening. If you discover someone that is making a living online, you think it’s a really big deal.  Or if someone is a published author, it’s a big deal.

We tend to look at the things that we need to do online to be successful as a really big deal; writing a blog post, making a video, interviewing someone important for your podcast, etc.  In actuality, completing these tasks are not a big deal at all.  It’s really just a matter of going out, finding the content, putting it into an organized format and hitting publish!

So what does this have to do with you and this make money online mindset hack?  Well, in our lives we have a lot of blocks and we have a lot of filters.  These blocks and filters are the exact things that are stopping you from making money online.

Mindset Blocks

An example of a block is a belief such as “I’m not good enough” or “I don’t know enough” or “money is hard to get”.  I’ve been doing this a while and still have that voice in the back of my head trying to tell me the same things.  It takes a lot of practice and work to break through and stay away from those blocks.

A common financial goal that people make when first starting out with an online business is to make $100,000 a year.  Even though that’s really not a lot of money, we are taught that it’s kind of a big deal to be a six figure a year earner.  But still, you look at that and immediately ask, “how am I going to get to that”?  “Earning $100,000 a year is a BIG deal!”  But you will find that after you break that barrier and make $150,000 to $200,000 a year… it is not a big deal after all.

Mindset Filters

This brings me to the filters we have in life of what we expect.  We have these expectations related to what is going to happen once you set up you build your website for your business for example.  You think for example that a bell is going to go off and you are immediately going to start making money and it’s going to be this next big thing.  But, in actuality, success simply does not work like that.

In reality, there are thousands upon thousands of successful affiliate marketers out there.  There are all kinds of different online business models out there outside of affiliate marketing that make $100,000 a year consistently.  It’s really not that big of a deal.  But we look at all these successful people and run it through our filters to come up with the idea that money is hard to make. Your filters start asking you “what if I can’t, what if I don’t, what if what I do is not right?”  These thoughts simply lead to inaction.

There are so many questions that could run through your mind, creating filters that lead to blocks that lead to inaction and then you simply don’t do anything at all to progress toward your goals.

One filter that slows people down and leads to inaction is the question of “does it work, do these online business models or even affiliate marketing in general work?”  Well, the short answer is yes.  Yes, it works.  It’s been working for a really long time for thousands and thousands of online marketers out there who have doing this business inside and out.

It’s really not that big of a deal.  Creating your online business is just a matter of taking people and helping them out with what they are looking for.  Help them find a solution to a problem they may be experiencing, or providing them some kind of entertainment or provide some other kind of value.   The content you create on the Internet, whether it’s a blog post, video, PDF or something else doesn’t have to be that big of a deal.  Some people will look at it and think it sucks and others will look at it and think it’s great.  The value is really in the eye of the beholder.

Your biggest job with your online business is to find the right person that’s going to consume your content and get the value out of it.  It’s a very simple process.

So if you can start to look at things as though they are not that big of a deal, you will begin to create more value online.  This will start a domino effect or results in your business.  Doing affiliate marketing or some other type of online business is so much of a mental game.  If you think about it, you can find solutions to everything else that you would need when it comes to building your business.  There are tons of solutions for creating content, advertising, or even website development for your business.  Easy solutions are available.  The hard part is getting your mind right keeping it right.  Remember that it’s just not that big of a deal and to just get going and keep going.
